They were awesome! Divemaster and captain were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and safe. They answered all our questions (we were first time Blackwater divers) and made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable. The Divemaster was able to give us our space but also be close enough and interact with us enough under the water that we always felt safe. He was able to point out interesting wildlife to all of us. The boat was clean and well stocked. The Captain was confident which made us feel confident. Overall we felt very welcome, and the staff made our first Blackwater dive experience one to remember!

Advanced Twilight and Night Reef Dive

While most of the night diving in Kona focuses on the amazing manta rays, the reef also comes alive every night in an incredible way!

A completely different cast of characters is active at night. You'll be looking for crustaceans, mollusks, and other critters as they come out of their cracks and crevices once the sun goes down.

Rates & Times

  • $225 for certified divers.

  • The duration of the experience is 4-5 hours.

  • Guest check-in changes with sunset throughout the year, ranging from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.

Requirements

  • Proof of certification.

  • Proficiency in English (for safety communication).

  • Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Minimum dive requirements: 50 logged dives, or complete a checkout dive with us prior.
